Top 3 lies on dating sites
Everybody knows that people behave different on the internet than in real life. It's the perfect channel to make things look a little bit better than it is. This means that you have to look out what to believe if you talk with somebody on a dating site.
According to some research it appears that people who show up on the first date are not completely the person they desribed in their profile. Still you don't have to worry that you will meet a total different person than you can read in the profile but just don't take everything too serious. The reason for that are the top 3 lies on dating sites which you can read below.
1. I am 1.80 metre (lying about the length)
People are in real life always 5 centimetre shorter. Does size matters? Apparently it does. Tall men and women receive more messages than members which are shorter.
2. My annual income is 100.000 euro
This is a very common lie but it actually really works. People always add 20% above their real income which results in more messages on dating sites
3. ...and that's my recent image
This is most of the times not true. People upload their most attractive image and don't look at the time this image was taken. Members might say recent photo but according to research a photo was taken on average 92 days ago. A 50 year old member will add photos which are even 500 days old and a 20 year old member photos which are 200 days old.
The above lies are not so bad and understandable. As long as you keep the above lies in mind dating will be much easier and fun.
