Research shows that the mobile phone gives the biggest distraction during sex and 75% of the people get irritated from any mobile phone sound during their adventure in bed. Many people can't imagine a life without a Smartphone anymore but it can also spoil the pleasure. What are the other distractions and what can you do to stop this?

Answering phone in bed

According to a research under 2000 Dutch people any sound from a mobile phone leads to big irritations during the sex. About 19% of the men and 17% of the women answer the phone while they are having fun with each other and almost all cases this will end the adventure in bed.

The most irritating of the phone is a long ringtone but also sounds of incoming emails and messages through whatsapp and social media are not appreciated.

Also the use of the Smartphone before sleeping has increased a lot in the last years. Twenty percent of the people spend about 15 minutes to check their email, read social media messages or do any other activity on their mobile phone. This will result in less attention for the partner which will not improve the sex life between the partners.

Other distractions

Other distraction which were mentioned in the research are kids and other people present in the house during sex. Unfortunately there is not much you can do about that.

What to do about the phone distraction?

The answer is very simple. Turn off this annoying device once you step in the bedroom or leave your phone downstairs on the charger. You can still buy old alarm clocks for the bedroom and instead of checking your emails of facebook messages check the interesting spots of your partner. Many years ago mobile phones didn't exist and people could have a great life as well.

You don't need a phone in your bedroom but your partner to get connected and try it for a few days if you can survive without a phone in your bedroom. Maybe you get rewarded for this in a very nice way!
